HITLER'S SKY WARRIORS: GERMAN PARATROOPERS in Action 1939-1945. Examines all of the battles and campaigns of the Third Reich's airborne forces. Illustrated thoroughly by many previously unpublished photographs.
HITLER'S SKY WARRIORS: German Paratroopers in Action 1939-1945. The German Fallschirmjager -- paratroopers -- executed many successful and daring operations in WWII, such as the capture of the Belgian fortress of Eben Emael in 1940 and the invasion of Crete in 1941. This well documented book also records the battles fought by these paratroopers in which they were not able to utilize their airborne skills: such as the bloody battle at Cassino and the withdrawal from Russia. The action photos of men and equipment are particularly interesting. 176 pages. By Christopher Ailsby.
