U.S. MILITARY ADVISORS IN VIETNAM. MACV - Advisory duty could be the most rewarding and the most frustrating of all Vietnam assignments, calling for considerable military experience as well as tact. Four films on one VHS Video:
[1] U.S. ARMY UNIT ADVISOR. This program captures all aspects of an advisory tour in the early years of the Vietnam War.
[2] KNOW YOUR ENEMY. Using captured film, this is a rare opportunity to see behind the mask of the Viet Cong. Combat operations, logistics and demolitions, as well as propaganda efforts including footage of an American apparently just taken as a POW are show. Marginal film quality on this captured film segment.
[3] FORGED IN FLAME. A fitting tribute to the South Vietnamese military who often fought with outdated equipment.
[4] EYE OF THE DRAGON. A dramatic account of the dangerous lives led by our USN Advisors serving with the South Vietnamese Junk Forces. Focuses on its subject through the use of rare film footage not found in oher wartime films.
A video history of Americans in Vietnam featuring some of the most remarkable combat footage ever filmed. These videos are specially packaged for C.I.B. MEDIA with 3 to 7 films per video. These exciting videos are so real you can almost smell the gunpowder, sweat and diesel fuel.
The original films are from the U.S. government?s film archives. Some films were originally made to train replacement troops on what to expect in a combat situation and to build esprit de corps within the subject unit. A few segments may have slight color fading. This video series was created using only the highest quality duplication equipment and materials. Film quality varies from fair to excellent. Each video contains at least one film on the specified unit or subject, and all films on each video contain material related to the subject title. Some films may appear on more than one DVD title.
