POCKET BATTLESHIP 'ADMIRAL GRAF SPEE'. Commissioned in 1934, the German Pocket Battleship Graf Spee was a beautifully designed but luckless warship. Includes special section CURRENT NAVAL INFORMATION.
In 1939 the Graf Spee was pursued by a British Fleet in the South Atlantic, was damaged, and sought safety in the neutral port of Montevideo, Uruguay. Forced to sail after 24 hours, Graf Spee was scuttled rather than come within reach of the waiting British guns. This 40-page pictorial book is full of interesting action photos and ship's data.
