The German Battleship Tirpitz was launched in 1939. From July 1940 until its sinking in November 1944, Tirpitz was continually subjected to attacks by the British Royal Navy and Royal Air Force. This book, with 100+ great photos and numerous line drawings, depicts a warship which had graceful lines and was well engineered, but Tirpitz was never successful in attacking Allied vessels. An excellent resource book for naval historians and ship modelers.
